A new chapter: The future language of my blog

A few weeks ago, I asked for your input on a very important question: Should I continue publishing my articles in German, or make the switch to English?

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in the survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable as I plan the future of this blog.

The Survey Results Are In!

The question was simple: “Should my articles stay in German, or would you prefer English?”

Here’s what happened:

  • 4.24% of my website visitors voted for posts to be in English.
  • 2.42% of my website visitors voted for posts to be in German.
  • 93.3% didn’t care.

Among those who did vote, 64% preferred English.

How I got these numbers? As I said:

While the overall participation rate was modest, the trend among those who shared their opinion points towards a desire for English content.

Embracing an International Future

Based on this feedback and my goal to make the content accessible to a wider, more international audience, I have made a decision:

Moving forward, all new articles will be published in English.

I believe this is the right step to grow the community and share ideas with more people around the world. This decision wasn’t made lightly—it feels both logical and exciting.

There’s a lot of work ahead: translating the main posts to keep related articles cohesive, and updating the web services so Google properly recognizes the language change.

I am incredibly excited about this new chapter and hope you will join me on this journey. I am looking forward to continuing to provide you with high-quality content.

Thank you for your continued support and the ongoing encouragement.
